☀️ BEACH DAY AT WEST WITTERING ☀️

Today we ventured beyond the borough for a family day out at West Wittering Beach, around 1.5 hours from Kingston and it was absolutely worth the drive.

We had a leisurely start to the day and arrived around 12:30pm. We always like to park in the large grassy field alongside the camper vans, which gives the whole place a relaxed campsite feel (much to the boys' delight, who spent the day calling it a "campground"!).

While I set up a picnic lunch, the boys got straight onto their bikes and explored. We spent the afternoon playing frisbee, reading in the sunshine, building sandcastles, paddling in the shallow, sandbar-protected water, and taking our paddle board out for a gentle cruise.

As the afternoon rolled into evening, we fired up our pizza oven for dinner before packing up around 7:30pm. The boys were asleep within minutes of leaving, always the sign of a successful day out 👌🏻

A few things to know if you're planning a visit:
🏖️ Parking is £16.25 for the day (regardless of how long you stay)
🚗 Pre-booking is recommended to guarantee a space
🥾 There's a beautiful National Trust walk around the headland
🚫 Overnight parking isn't permitted

It felt like a mini holiday without having to leave the South East. If you're looking for a beach day that's easy to do from Kingston, West Wittering is hard to beat.

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this half term, go and see Zog at the Rose Theatre in Kingston 🧡

We’ve seen a few of the adapted Julia Donaldson shows before: Zog and the Flying Doctors, The Baddies and Room on the Broom... but Zog was definitely our favourite so far 💯

The storyline stayed really true to the book, which was perfect for little ones who already know and love the story. It was funny, the songs were brilliant, and the whole production was just so well done 👏

It’s absolutely a must-see if you haven’t already.

📍Zog is at the Rose Theatre until Sunday 31st May

🎟 Tickets range from £19.50–£23.50

⏰ There are at least two shows a day, so there’s still time to grab tickets!

And an extra bonus in this heatwave… the theatre was pretty cool. A perfect escape from the sun for a little while!
