Art Classes

art-k

  • art-K provides children with a rounded art education in drawing, painting and 3D modelling. The environment is encouraging, inclusive and non-competitive. This allows every student to go at their own pace, developing their unique skill-set. Art classes for children aged 6-16

Crafternoons at United Reform Church

Youth Zone, Mindful Art Sessions

  • Free weekly art sessions for young people aged 12-25

  • Tuesday's 4-5pm at 2 Buckland Wharf, KT1 1TF


Baby specific classes


Buzzy Lizzy, located at Kingston Quaker Centre or Zoom session

  • Baby and Mummy fitness classes, or music classes for baby or baby yoga- lots of options!

  • You can trial your first class to see if it is a good fit, view the schedule here

  • A few type of memberships available, with classes ranging to around £10- £12 a class


Hartbeeps, located at Rose Theatre or St John's Church (in the summer months)

  • The interactive baby class focuses on early language acquisition, is held on Mondays with a few time slots.

  • You can trial your first class to see if it is a good fit, view the schedule here

  • Classes average to around £9.50 a class

Books / Reading

Waterstones hosts a monthly Young Adults book club, It's an informal book group open to all who want to read some Young Adult literature and discuss it over tea. To view the upcoming book, and meet up times check out the website here!



Language Classes


KidsLingo

  • Spanish club for little ones within Kingston and New Malden

  • Two different classes for 18 months-3 years and 4-6 year olds

Mentorship

Girls Journey Together

  • A group for 10-12 year olds along with their mums, to learn about themselves, grow confidence and help eachother in their teens

Music Classes


Una Coello Guitar Girl, located at Rose Theatre (off in the summer)

  • Music, singing & movement classes for babies, toddlers & younger children

  • £10 drop in or £90 for the term session

Monkey Music, located at Kingston Quaker Centre or Rose Theatre

  • Fun and interactive Music Classes for babies and toddlers

  • You can trial your first class to see if it is a good fit, check out the schedule here

  • Price averages out to be around £11.50 per class

Preforming Arts


Ballet Classes with Maria Celano

  • Learn the art of Ballet, for kids and adults!

  • £11 per class or £40 a month, at Tiffin Sports Centre KT2 6RL

Onyx School of Preforming Arts

  • Offers classes in Ballet, Phonics, LAMDA Speech and Drama and Preforming Arts Combo (acting, singing, ballet)

  • Classes taught at Kingston College, suitable for ages 3-11

Sports


Playball, located at Canbury Gardens or Tiffin Girls School

  • Fun classes that focus on forming well rounded skills in the foundation of sports!

  • A variety of times and days available. *Playball was highly recommend by local Kingston mums!

Little Kickers, located at Tiffin Girls School (indoor/outdoor depending on season)

  • Football classes for children starting at 18 months old and up to 8 years old

  • Great way to get some energy out on a Saturday morning. Price is around £40 a month + registration fee- comes with a shirt! Check out the site here.

We Make Footballers, located at Tiffin Girls School (indoor/outdoor depending on season)


Kingston Gymnastics, located at Tiffin Girls School

  • Gymnastics classes held on Saturdays for ages 3 yrs old - Grade 5

  • They aim to develop the child’s basic gymnastic skills alongside their gross motor skills and social interactions. Price is £8.75 per class, Check out the site here!

Avondale Gymnastics Club (Surbiton)

  • For ages 2-18, Check out the site here!

  • From grass root level in our pre-school programme, we teach elementary gymnastics skills as well as social skills such as taking turns and sharing.

  • From our recreational classes children with a particular aptitude for gymnastics are selected and offered the opportunity to enhance their ability in our advanced gymnastics groups.

Mini Athletics, located at Tiffin Girls School or Cadbury Gardens


Average Mos Boxing & Kickboxing Gym

  • Wednesday evening and Saturday morning kickboxing class for kids, ages 8-15 years old.

  • Kids will learn an art, but along the journey, they will learn respect for their skills and fellow classmates, and gather self-confidence and restraint while burning off excess energy in a safe controlled environment.

  • Enrolment to this class is on a term basis to ensure continuity and grading, contact the gym before booking here.

Swimming


Water Babies (babies)

  • Great class for babies and under 2s to be introduced to the water and have fun in a warm pool!

  • They are usually taught at Nuffield, with the closest ones being Kingston and Surbiton.

Hook Swim School (toddler/school aged)

  • Recommended by many local mums as the best place for your toddler or school aged child to learn how to swim.
