Check out all the classes being offered in Kingston for kids!

Art Classes

art-k (Kingston)

  • art-K provides children with a rounded art education in drawing, painting and 3D modelling. The environment is encouraging, inclusive and non-competitive. This allows every student to go at their own pace, developing their unique skill-set. Art classes for children aged 6-16

Blue Palette Art Studio (Kingston)

  • At Blue Palette, they teach traditional art skills such as observational drawing and painting using a step-by-step approach, to ensure that the children develop a strong foundation in art.

  • Classes are suitable for Ages 6-16

Crafternoons at United Reform Church (Kingston)

Youth Zone, Mindful Art Sessions (Kingston)

  • Free weekly art sessions for young people aged 12-25

  • Tuesday's 4-5pm at 2 Buckland Wharf, KT1 1TF

Baby specific classes

Buzzy Lizzy, located at Kingston Quaker Centre or Zoom session (Kingston & Surbiton)

  • Baby and Mummy fitness classes, or music classes and more

  • You can trial your first class to see if it is a good fit, view the schedule here

  • A few type of memberships available, with classes ranging to around £10- £12 a class

Monkey Music, located at Kingston Quaker Centre or Rose Theatre (Kingston & Surbiton)

  • Recently launched a new class called Beautiful Noise, for babies from newborns up to 16 weeks old.

  • They also host other classes for as little as 3 month olds!

Hartbeeps, located at Rose Theatre or St John's Church (Kingston & Surbiton)

  • The interactive baby class focuses on early language acquisition, is held on Mondays with a few time slots.

Books / Reading

Waterstones hosts a monthly Young Adults book club, It's an informal book group open to all who want to read some Young Adult literature and discuss it over tea. To view the upcoming book, and meet up times check out the website here!

Language Classes

  • Spanish club for little ones within Kingston and New Malden

  • Two different classes for 18 months-3 years and 4-6 year olds


Girls Journey Together

  • A group for 10-12 year olds along with their mums, to learn about themselves, grow confidence and help eachother in their teens

Music Classes

Monkey Music, located at Kingston Quaker Centre or Rose Theatre (Kingston & Surbiton)

  • Fun and interactive Music Classes for babies and toddlers

Una Coello Guitar Girl, located at Rose Theatre (off in the summer) (Kingston)

  • Music, singing & movement classes for babies, toddlers & younger children

  • £10 drop in or £90 for the term session, info here!

Preforming Arts

BabyBallet (Kingston)

  • Classes starting from 18 months to 6 years old! Held at Wacky Kingdom in Kingston

  • Fees are £9.50 per class for babyballet tinies, movers and groovers and tappers classes are available for movers and groovers starting at £4.25 per week

Ballet Classes with Maria Celano (Kingston)

Danceforce School of Dancing (Kingston)

  • Classes for all ages from 18 months upwards in ballet, modern, tap, jazz , contemporary and acro.

  • They use three venues in Kingston: Swinnerton hall Gibbon Rd, Forward House Park Rd and United Reformed Church Fairfield

Jigsaw Preforming Arts School (Surbiton)

  • Offer weekend drama, singing and dance classes for children aged 3-18

  • New students are invited to do an initial two-week trial for £30

Onyx School of Preforming Arts (Kingston)

  • Offers classes in Ballet, Phonics, LAMDA Speech and Drama and Preforming Arts Combo

  • Classes taught at Kingston College, suitable for ages 3-11


Average Mos Boxing & Kickboxing Gym (Kingston)

  • Wednesday evening and Saturday morning kickboxing class for kids, ages 8-15 years old.

  • Kids will learn an art, but along the journey, they will learn respect for their skills and fellow classmates, and gather self-confidence and restraint while burning off excess energy in a safe controlled environment.

  • Enrolment to this class is on a term basis to ensure continuity and grading, contact the gym before booking here.

Avondale Gymnastics Club (Surbiton)

  • For ages 2-18, Check out the site here! 

  • From grass root level in our pre-school programme, we teach elementary gymnastics skills as well as social skills such as taking turns and sharing.

  • From our recreational classes children with a particular aptitude for gymnastics are selected and offered the opportunity to enhance their ability in our advanced gymnastics groups.

  • For ages 3+, locations in Kingston, Surbiton and New Malden

  • They pride ourselves on offering recreational gymnastics classes in a fun, inspiring and non-competitive environment

Halfbacks Rugby (Kingston/Hampton Wick area)

  • Half Backs Rugby is a fun and exciting concept designed to teach children aged 2 – 6 the values of rugby union, enabling them to develop their confidence, physical and social skills, and ultimately be kids!

Kingston Jiu Jitsu

  • Jiu-Jitsu, as well as being a great form of self-defence, is a great way for kids to learn self-confidence, discipline, body awareness and balance. The classes are designed to be fun and are focused on learning through play and games. All children aged 5-16 are welcome to come and try

Kingston Gymnastics, located at Tiffin Girls School (Kingston)

  • Gymnastics classes held on Saturdays for ages 3 yrs old - Grade 5

  • They aim to develop the child’s basic gymnastic skills alongside their gross motor skills and social interactions. Price is £8.75 per class, Check out the site here! 

Little Kickers (Kingston & Surbiton)

  • Football classes for children starting at 18 months old and up to 8 years old

  • Great way to get some energy out on a Saturday morning. Price is around £40 a month + registration fee- comes with a shirt! Check out the site here.

Playball, located at Canbury Gardens or Tiffin Girls School (Kingston)

  • Fun classes that focus on forming well rounded skills in the foundation of sports!

  • A variety of times and days available.

Aquatots (Kingston)

  • Great small classes for babies and toddlers. The younger ones lessons are at Latchmere School and the pool for older children is in Worcester Park.
