Remember, remember the fifth of November...Every year, towns and cities across the UK light up the skies to mark Bonfire Night, a tradition dating back to 1605, when Guy Fawkes’ failed Gunpowder Plot was foiled. Today, it’s all about family fun, fireworks, and cosy autumn evenings spent together.
If you’re wondering where to catch the best displays around Kingston this year, we’ve rounded up the top family-friendly options all within easy reach.

Thursday 30 October
Sandown Park Spooktacular – Esher (4.2 miles | ~15 mins drive)
A Halloween-themed evening full of fun before the fireworks light up the sky. Expect entertainment, music, and plenty of seasonal treats. Gates open at 6pm, Fireworks start 7.30pm, site shuts at 8pm.
Saturday 1 November
Apps Court Fireworks Festival – Walton-on-Thames (6.3 miles | ~20 mins drive)
Surrey’s biggest fireworks festival! A full day of family fun with live music, fairground rides, food stalls and, of course, a spectacular display. Opens at 2pm, closes at 10:30pm.
Kempton Park Fireworks – Sunbury-on-Thames (6.4 miles | ~20 mins drive)
A huge racecourse display with funfair attractions and great viewing spots. Always a big night out for families. Gates open at 5pm, fireworks start at 7:30pm. Funfair closes 10pm.
Sunday 2 November
Colets Family Fireworks – Thames Ditton (3.3 miles | ~10 mins drive)
A relaxed, early-evening display ideal for little ones. Expect a friendly, local feel and tasty food options. Gates open at 4pm, fireworks are at 6:30pm.
Corinthian-Casuals Fireworks – Tolworth (3.4 miles | ~12 mins drive)
Our local Kingston display! Held at King George’s Field, this long-running community event features food stalls, inflatables and a brilliant atmosphere. Gates open at 4:30pm, fireworks at 6:45pm.
Richmond Family Fireworks Night – Richmond Athletic Ground (5.4 miles | ~20 mins drive)
A big family event with a funfair, live music and food stalls. Always popular, so grab tickets early. Gates open 4:30pm, fireworks at 7pm.
Tuesday 5 November
Imber Court Fireworks – East Molesey (3.6 miles | ~12 mins drive)
Expect a family-friendly evening with a fairground and plenty to eat and drink. Gates open 4pm, with fireworks around 6:45 pm.
Morden Park “Fireworks in the Park” – Morden (4.7 miles | ~18 mins drive)
Two displays in one night, an earlier family show and a later, louder display. Both feature music, food, and fairground rides. 5:15pm gates open, 6:45pm first firework show, 8:30pm second show.
Saturday 8 November
Berrylands Scouts - Berrylands (2.8 miles | ~ 15 mins drive)
Two spectacular displays, a roaring bonfire, great food, and plenty of family fun! ll proceeds go directly to supporting our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

Collis Primary School - Teddington (2.6 miles | ~ 15 mins drive)
A classic Bonfire Night celebration with a funfair, food stalls and fireworks. Gates open 4:30pm, fireworks at 6:30pm.
Wimbledon Park Fireworks Display – Wimbledon (5.4 miles | ~20 mins drive)
Two displays in one night, an earlier family show and a later, louder display. Both feature music, food, and fairground rides. 5:15pm gates open, 6:45pm first firework show, 8:30pm second show.
Epsom Fireworks – Hook Road (5.7 miles | ~20 mins drive)
A long-standing community favourite, often offering a low-noise children’s show earlier in the evening. Gates open 5:30pm, first fireworks at 6:30pm, second show at 7:30pm
